Craigslist is the number one classified ads website on the internet. It allows users to post ads on location-based pages which are organized by the city, state, and country they’re in. That way, other users can search for ads which come from people in their specific city or a location near them. It would certainly be annoying to find ads posted in Great Britain if you’re living in California, right? Craigslist eliminates this from happening by allowing people to post ads which pertain to specific locations.

Businesses and individuals both have a need to post ads on Craigslist. Individuals might do it for more personal reasons, such as job hunting, selling items, and house hunting. Businesses might post ads because they want to market their services, products, or job listings. Either way, Craigslist is a marketing source which is mostly free for most categories. There are some exceptions when it comes to job postings and apartment rentals, depending on the location.

For example, someone posting a brokered apartment rental advertisement for the New York City location will need to pay $10 per post. Also, job postings in certain locations cost anywhere from $10 to $75. But, for most categories and locations, it is free to post ads in them on the website. If you wish to post ads in categories which have extra fees charged, we will discuss those special rates with you.
